Use advanced search operators to target specific sources, file types, and timeframes.
Whether Perplexity supports each operator below could not be confirmed from its own documentation: its help centre could not be read when this guide was checked on 29 September 2026. Treat an operator as a request, not a guaranteed filter. After every search, look at the sources listed under the answer to see whether the request was followed.
Keep client names and matter details out of a search. A search query is sent to the vendor like any other prompt, and what you may enter depends on the plan your firm has, its agreement with the vendor and your firm's policy.

Use: Limit results to specific websites
